Global Communications
How to overcome the language barriers

With your global communications comes language barriers that must be overcome in order to conduct your business. When you use InterCall’s Operator Assisted or Reservationless-Plus® audio conferencing services for your international meetings, you can choose from two interpretation options so your participants hear your message the way you intended it.

Consecutive Interpretation – this most common form of interpretation, available either scheduled or on-demand, is when a speaker speaks, then pauses for an interpreter to render what is said. During your conference the interpreter(s) and all participants are in the same conference and everyone hears all the languages that are spoken. This works best in a small, interactive environment, such as medical settings, legal depositions, courtroom proceedings, worker’s compensation hearings and multi-lingual business meetings.

Simultaneous Interpretation – if you want your presentation to be rendered from one language into another at the same time you are speaking, Simultaneous Interpretation is the ideal solution. Simultaneous interpretation, available for scheduled Operator Assisted conferences, works best in environments with large audiences where direct, interpersonal communication is limited, such as conferences, summits or bilateral meetings.

To start helping your global participants get the most out of your conference call, contact your meeting consultant for more information about InterCall’s comprehensive Interpretation Services.
