CHICAGO, May 08, 2013– InterCall, a subsidiary of West Corporation and the world's largest conferencing and collaboration services provider, announced today its position as the overall audio and web conferencing services market share leader in Latin America, according to two new studies by Wainhouse Research.
The reports, entitled, “2013 Latin American Audio Conferencing Service Market Sizing and 5-Year Forecast” and “2013 Latin American Web Conferencing Service Market Sizing and 5-Year Forecast,” indicate expected market growth of 219 percent from 2012 to 2017. Although total market share among the top three providers is in a tight range, the studies show InterCall’s share is much more widespread throughout country-by-country markets.
“We’ve worked diligently to strengthen our presence in the region to better serve our clients, and the result is high penetration in Brazil and Mexico, reinforcing our position as the global leader in unified communications. Our presence in 26 countries around the world supports the evolving needs of organizations, from global multinationals to regional companies,” said Scott Etzler, President of InterCall.
“Much of the momentum we’re seeing in Latin America is driven by strong local economies seeking new communications services,” said Marc Beattie, Senior Analyst at Wainhouse Research. “Large geographic distances between businesses and their trading partners, and a continuing demand for productivity also bolstered growth.”
