New Release of InterCall’s Virtual Environments and Webcast Studio Platform is a Game Changer


Version 10 Offers Powerful Audience Engagement Tools, Easy Access and Search, and New Visuals, Performance and Administrative Tools

CHICAGO, October 16, 2012– InterCall, a subsidiary of West Corporation and the world's largest conferencing and collaboration services provider, today announced the release of Version 10 of its InterCall Virtual Environments and Webcast Studio platform. This latest version extends InterCall's leadership in the virtual environments space by improving search capabilities, design aspects, performance and administrative tools. The update supports InterCall's long-range strategy of improving people's ability to connect and communicate.

Among the enhancements in InterCall Virtual Environments and Webcast Studio Version 10 are:

  • Powerful audience engagement – Virtual Environments are now integrated with InterCall Unified Meeting to allow users to initiate web meetings instantly from within their virtual environments.
  • Easy access and search – The video wall organizes and presents content visually, making search faster, easier and more intuitive. Related information can be stored together in a content group such as a channel, where it is visible and easily retrieved. In addition, the information kiosk provides a clean display of content along with easy access, helping users quickly find exactly what they want.
  • New look with more powerful performance – With Version 10, the attendee view has been optimized to enhance the user experience as well as the look and feel of the environment. A redesigned conference hall makes navigation more intuitive, while a visual communication indicator and new embedded webcast player improve overall performance. The new attendee bar makes it easier to search for and locate attendees anywhere within the virtual environment. A larger window and easier-to-read fonts improve the attendee experience.
  • New administrative tools – Enhanced Q&A, moderated chat, webcast announcements, background templates and more make Version 10 more flexible and easier to use.
