InterCall Explores the Power of Perseverance, Breaking Down Communication Barriers in Upcoming Webinar

HR Executive Brian Patrick Jensen, Who Experienced Hearing Loss in 2010, Shares Insights

CHICAGO, July 12, 2012 – InterCall, a subsidiary of West Corporation and the world's largest conferencing and collaboration services provider, announced today that popular speaker Brian Patrick Jensen will spearhead its next free educational webinar, “Perseverance, Success and You!” at 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday, July 18.

The free webinar is the latest in a series of InterCall-sponsored events showcasing its industry leadership on cutting-edge trends and business themes, and will be hosted on the InterCall Webcast Studio platform.

The event will take advantage of InterCall’s closed-captioning and video conferencing capabilities, making it accessible for anyone interested in participating. InterCall and its partners create closed-captioning in advance as a service offering to customers.

“Brian is a great example of how a combination of ambition and innovation can help break down communication barriers,” said Kathleen Finato, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at InterCall. “Helping businesses and individuals use technology to simplify communication and improve collaboration are core InterCall values. InterCall solutions, such as the closed-captioned webinar platform that Brian will be using, enable people to access the resources they need to meet their goals and achieve success.”

Jensen has first-hand experience and knowledge about the keys of perseverance. In 2010, he suffered sudden and profound hearing loss, which ultimately rendered him deaf. Following his hearing loss, he made a bold determination to re-brand his human resources consulting practice to concentrate his offerings on corporate training, leadership development and motivational presentations.

During the webinar, Jensen will talk to attendees about:

  • How to choose to persevere and why some people are more resilient than others
  • “Five things resilient people do” and how to apply them
  • Exercises attendees can apply to their own personal challenges

The webinar will run on InterCall Webcast Studio, which features streaming video, animated presentation content, live interactive chat and Q&A. It is the virtual platform of choice for Fortune 500 companies, major medical and pharmaceutical organizations, educational agencies and professional associations around the world. Based on Adobe Flash, InterCall Webcast Studio offers the most robust capabilities and powerful webcasting features available.
