CHICAGO, April 11, 2012 – InterCall, a subsidiary of West Corporation and the world’s largest conferencing and collaboration services provider, announced today that clients ACS Inc., a Xerox company, and the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) received Learning! 100 Awards for corporate training programs using technologies from InterCall Event Services.

InterCall’s Virtual Environment Platform allows clients to create and manage branded, interactive, web-based learning centers to engage and connect with any number of learners – anytime and from anywhere around the globe.

HBA, a “Who’s Who” of the top names in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, created a 24/7 virtual environment to connect life sciences professionals and experts around the world. HBA members can easily access content, experts and interactive workshops on their own schedules.

“We approached our virtual learning environment differently than most organizations,” said Laurie Cooke, CEO of HBA. “Rather than thinking in terms of a one-day event, we wanted to build a community and encourage engagement over time. ACS used a virtual environment to educate a global employee base of more than 10,000 participants about benefits. It also connected more than 2,000 employees across 31 countries for a company-wide innovation program. Both ACS initiatives have fostered learning, innovation and collaboration in support of business goals.
